Does Xnet host a Steam Content Server?

Last Updated: 20th of October, 2011

Yes we do!
We have had our own dedicated Steam Server (online and downloadable game caching server) up and running for a few months now and this morning (28/9/2011) Steam issued an update to their client now now has “New Zealand (Xnet)” as a selctebale option.
Users who set this on their client will not be charged* for downloading and playing games such as the soon to be released Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3.
*Please note while the majority of steam content will be cached on our server it's possible that some obscure content won't be.  Any steam content which isn't hosted on our server will be billable as per your data plan.
